Drive - By Truckers are kicking off the new election year with their second studio album American Band. A quick glance might suggest that we pick up where the American band's 2016 album left off, but the differences are not as telling as the similarities. The song is featured in its entirety on the album cover, and we explore Bobbie Gentry - inspired by Southern Gothic, with Kyleen's guitar arranged by his wife and co-producer Amanda Phillips. Phillips' new studio incorporates three different echo chambers into the studio design, giving the early Sun records their legendary sound and giving it a very unique and wonderful sound that can be integrated into this album.

The process was completed within a few days, however, as they had to spend a whole day recording, recording and recording and then another day and a half editing.

When they sold The Sun, they built the record store, which opened in 1962, the first record store in the USA and one of the largest record stores in the world. In 1861 Wells Fargo also took over the short-lived Pony Express, a fast-track service between New York and San Francisco. The federal government took over the nation's express network in 1864, with the creation of a new express system in New Orleans.

This year has been one of the most turbulent that our country has ever seen, and the fact that so many things that matter to us have been decimated and destroyed around us has influenced the writing of this album to its core. How do you translate the everyday things you go through into a record that nobody else would ever want to listen to? I write about the daily absurdities as I wrap my head around them, but I am not ashamed of it.

The babies and cages were written in the living room of my wife's parents "home and quickly demonstrated on the phone. We met again with Matt and David to mix the album, and the session was surrounded by Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi Stars who came over and played electric washboard.

I was inspired by the sound coming out of the speakers during the replay and the echo echoing through the hall. The fact that all songs were recorded live in a magical recording captured the mood and tone of our week perfectly. For a band that basically made an album in the field recording area with mobile devices, it was a pleasure to do what they had forgotten when they started to do.
