FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Former Vice President Joe Biden is coming to North Dakota to help Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp kick off a statewide tour before the election.
Biden is scheduled to take the stage at the Fargo Air Museum Thursday afternoon to promote a five-day trip being billed as the "Bring it Home Heidi" tour. Heitkamp campaign officials say Biden will encourage attendees to help get out the vote.
Heitkamp, who is seen as trailing in her re-election campaign against Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer, plans more than 20 stops in towns across North Dakota.
It's Biden's second trip to North Dakota during the campaign season. He previously gave the keynote address at the state Democratic convention in Grand Forks.
